First, let me thank you for your continued support of The Community Playhouse and for supporting the arts in Tucson. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without you. I also want to take this moment to make you aware, if you haven’t noticed already, The Playhouse is now home to Speak The Speech Theatre Company and Something Something Theatre Company. Their inclusion means that The Playhouse will have live theatre 11 months out of 12, and will most likely offer some type of entertainment the other month. So you can look forward to quality live theatre all year long.
Some of you may have noticed the second page of this mailing...yep, the one with the big thermometer on it. We are entering some exiting times my friends and are asking your help to really make an impact on The Community Playhouse and on the performing arts here in Tucson. The Community Playhouse has been blessed by a private donor who will be matching any donation we take in up to $10,000. WOW! This is not a chance that many small, nonprofit theatre companies get. Because of that, we are asking everyone’s help in reaching our goal. I know it seems like a lot of money, and it is. But think about how much more it is when it is matched. The end result would be mind blowing for us. We have our wish list already picked out and we want to complete that list by the end of the summer.
Donations of any size will make a difference. Remember, whatever you donate will be matched, making it twice as valuable. With a successful fundraising campaign, it will make it possible to upgrade certain things which will make your experience that much better. It will also make The Community Playhouse one of the premier live performance venues in Tucson. Please help us reach the top of that thermometer on the next page and play a major part in keeping the arts alive in Tucson.
